  • Co-founder of Second Century Avondale, a citizen group promoting vision-driven downtown redevelopment: town green, connected bike and pedestrian friendly streets, strong community participation processes (all of which are supported in the city’s Downtown Master Plan)
  • I have been active in city meetings and have the time to give back to the community I love.

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Community Planner, 2009-2017. My focus was on local government policies and planning models that guide community development to support healthy lifestyles
  • City of Atlanta, Parks, Open Space and Greenways Planner, 2005-2008. I supervised development of a comprehensive plan addressing the City’s green infrastructure
  • Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Land Use Division, Green Space Coordinator, 2004-2005
  • DeKalb County Parks and Recreation Department, Landscape Architect, Manager of Design and Development, Comprehensive Planning Manager, 1982-2003. I managed planning, design and construction for the park system, and established a public participation process that reduced conflicts and accelerated project implementation
  • Masters degree in City and Regional Planning, Georgia Institute of Technology; and Masters degree in Landscape Architecture, University of Georgia
